Garden Railroad Bridge
This garden railroad at the Albuquerque Botanical Park runs through and elaborate setting specially designed to add interest to this area of the facility. They have a SERIOUS train buff who designed it and who is often there to run it.
In this picture the train is coming over the bridge. The central channel which is bridged provides a very practical solution to how to handle the runoff from the frequent afternoon thunder showers. Besides that it adds interest to the setting.
We were there on a warm summer afternoon so sitting in the shade watching the trains run made for a nice afternoon.
